Constructed of blackened bronze, horizontal pinback, obverse depicting central cross flanked by inscription of “SPARTAKUS” and dates of “1919/23”, above bordered inscription of “SCHLAGETER” and crossed swords, within oval oak leaf and laurel wreath, tied together at the bottom by a ribbon, maker marked on reverse “Paul Küst, Abzeichen u. Ordenfabrik, Berlin SW 19”, measuring 48.20 mm (w) x 60.70 mm (h), weighing 40.0 grams, in near mint condition.
