Germany, Weimar Republic. An Early & Scarce Flying Event Badge, c.1910
In silvered bronze, illustrating a Blériot XI monoplane in flight, with a sunrise in the distance and calm waters below, framed by an outer ring bearing sixteen fleur-de-lis alternating with sixteen die-holes, measuring 43.5 in diameter, missing its attachment, traces of silvering remains, spotting, scratches evident on the reverse, very fine.
