Germany, Weimar Republic. An Honour Cross of the Prussian Warrior Association, I Class, by Heinrich Timm
(Ehrenkreuz 1. Klasse des Preußischen Landes-Kriegerverbandes). Instituted 16 August 1921 by the Prussian Warrior Association. (1921-1933 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with white enameled arms, with a central medallion bearing an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST UM KRIEGERVEREINSWESEN” (“FOR MERIT IN THE WARRIOR ASSOCIATION”), with stylized monograms joining the quadrants, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “HCH. TIMM, BERLIN”, measuring 44.20 mm (w) x 44.05 mm (h), some flecking of the enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
