Holland Indies Telecom Commemorative Medal 1929 - In silver, 60mm, commemorating the first radio-telephone connection on March 11, 1927 from the Netherlands to the Dutch East Indies, obverse depicts the profile of a nude right-facing female figure in stride, arms spread at shoulder's length on either side of her body, supporting a zig-zag pattern representative of radio waves, engraver marked and inscribed "HALLO HALLO HOLLAND INDIE", reverse with circular graphic above the inscription "EERSTE RADIO-TELEFOON VERBINDING 11 MAART 1927 EINDHOVEN-BANDOENG OPENING PUBLIEKE DIENST KOOTWIJK-BANDEOENG 8 JANUARI 1929", 60 mm, extremely fine.
