What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

RELIEF OF CHITRAL 1895, PUNJAB FRONTIER 1897-98, TIRAH 1897-98, (4649 Pte F. Carlyle 1st Bn Gord: Highrs) Naming is officially engraved inverted italic script, extremely fine. Accompanied by photocopies from the National Archives of his Attestation Paper, Service Records and two Rolls confirming his entitlement to all three clasps. Footnote: Frederick Carlyle was born in 1870 in Preston, Lancashire. He signed his Attestation Paper on September 28, 1892 at Preston, at the age of 22 years, 5 months, for a term of twelve years, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Factory Labourer. He served in India, earning him the three clasps (Relief of Chitral 1895, Punjab Frontier 1897-89, Tirah 1897-98) for his India Medal, along with serving in the Boer War, entitling him to (Belfast, Elandslaagte, Defence of Ladysmith) the Queen's South Africa Medal. He was discharged from service on September 24, 1904, upon completion of his twelve years' service.
