What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Austria. A Miniature Order of Malta, presenting a bronze gilt decoration with a white Maltese cross with Fleur-de-lis in each quadrant, surmounted by an imperial crown, measures 13.96mm (w) x 21.24mm (h), weighs 2.0 grams,

Spain. A Miniature Order of Calatrava, in bronze gilt a red enamelled decoration, reverse plain, measures 17.3mm (w) x 19.63mm (h), weighs 1.8 grams, enamels intact, in overall very fine condition.

Spain. A Miniature Military Order of Santiago, in bronze gilt and red enamelled, measured 11.02mm (w) x 15.80mm (h), weighs .8 grams, enamels intact, in very fine condition.

Vatican. An Equestrian Order of Merit of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, in silver gilt and red enamels, presenting a decoration with a trophy style suspension, measures 16.25mm (w) x 31.71mm (h), weighs 3.8 grams, reverse marked M55 denoting Madrid manufacture, with an encircled star identifying .915 silver fineness, enamels intact, in very fine condition.

Spain. A Miniature Royal Cavalry Armory of Granada, in silver with blue and white enamels, featuring an eight armed star with faceted rays, the central medallion presenting a depicture of a figure in blue robes on a white background, surrounded by a dark blue border inscribed CIRUM CISBCUIVIS SOLA, reverse is plain with two screw posts, surmounted by a gilded crown, measures 14.73mm (w) x 24.72mm (h – inclusive of crown), weighs 3.0 grams, light cracking in enamel, dark patina, in very fine condition.
