Approximately eighty ribbons constituting a wide range of Orders and Medals, in various lengths and colours, ranging from swatches to standard medal lengths and a partial sash, most in new condition, a few in used condition, representing an assortment of countries (including: Bulgaria, China, Germany (Baden, Prussia, Saxony, Wurttemberg, Third Reich), Jahore, Montenegro, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United States, along with many others), plus three rosettes, a small roll of twine, a button marked "MAY DAY 1962" with ribbons and pinback, thirty-five printed sample swatches and a prescription pad sheet marked "ALBERT F. GOODWIN, M.D. / 31 KINGSBORO AVE. / GLOVERSVILLE, N. Y.". Ranging from very fine to extremely fine.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
