What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Greece: Orthodox Church Order Saint Dionysius of Zakynthos, Grand Cross Breast Star (Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία του Αγίου Διονυσίου Ζακύνθου / Orthódoxi Ekklisía tou Agíou Dionysíou Zakýnthou): three-piece construction, insignia in silvered bronze with blue and white enamels, mounted to a silvered bronze eight-pointed star base, each star point with seven emanating rays, measuring 89 mm (w) x 89 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, however there are scuff marks evident on three of the four arms of the cross.

2. Greece: Cross of the Order of the Apostle Mark (Σταυρός του Τάγματος του Αποστόλου Μάρκου / Stavrós tou Tágmatos tou Apostólou Márkou): three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with light blue and black enamels, measuring 42 mm (w) x 71.3 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon with dual prong pinback.

3. Greece. two "Mussolongi to the Holocaust" by Christos Kapsalis Commemorative Medals 1828-1930 (Αναμνηστικό Μετάλλιο «Μουσολόγγι στο Ολοκαύτωμα» του Χρήστου Καψάλη 1828-1930): in coppered bronze, measuring 39.8 mm (w) x 44.8 mm (h) each, both with original ribbons, one with a dual-prong pinback.

4. Greece: NAL Union of Macedonian Nolemiets Defense of Patris Medal 1912-1922 (NAL Ένωση Μακεδονικών Nolemiets Άμυνας Πατρίδας Μετάλλιο 1912-1922): in bronze gilt, measuring 38 mm (w) x 39.5 mm (h), original ribbon.

5. Greece/France: F.S.S. Cross: in bronze with red, light blue and dark blue enamels, measuring 28.8 mm (w) x 50.8 mm (h), original ribbon with pinback.

6. Greece: Holy Great Meteoron Monastery "Virgin Mary and Child" Medal (Μετάλλιο Ιεράς Μονής Μεγάλου Μετεώρου): in silver, measuring 50.5 mm (w) x 54.5 mm (h), original ribbon with pinback.

7. Greece: Commemorative Medal for the Guard of Messolonghi from the Commission for the Centenary of the Exodus of Messolonghi 1826-1926 (Αναμνηστικό Μετάλλιο για τη Φρουρά Μεσολογγίου από την Επιτροπή για την εκατονταετηρίδα της Εξόδου του Μεσολογγίου 1826-1926): in bronze gilt, measuring 39.8 mm (w) x 44 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon.

8. Spain: Spanish Red Cross Founder's Medal (Cruz Roja Española Medalla del Fundador): in bronze gilt, measuring 28 mm (w) x 32 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon, suspended from a traditional horizontal hanger.

9. Spain: Miniature Spanish Red Cross Founder's Medal (Cruz Roja Española Medalla del Fundador): in bronze gilt, measuring 17.2 mm (w) x 20.5 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon with button hole attachment.
