What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

2. France, Third Republic: Military Medal, Type III with Uniface Trophy-of-Arms: in silver gilt with blue enamels, dual cornucopia hallmarked and marked with a "1" between the cornucopias on the obverse, measuring 27.5 mm (w) x 46.5 mm (h) inclusive of its trophy of arms suspension, original ribbon.

3. France, Third Republic: Nice Exhibition Fair Award Medal 1931: two-piece construction, insignia in bronze gilt with red, white, blue and green enamels, mounted to a base in bronze gilt with green and white enamels, measuring 55.7 mm (w) x 92.3 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath and laterally-pierced ball suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon. 

4. Russia, Imperial: Tsar Nicholas II Monogram Badge: in bronze gilt, measuring 37.5 mm (w) x 33 mm (h), all four prongs intact. 

5. Thailand, Kingdom: REPLICA CAST Dusademala Medal, Type I with the Year 1244: in silver, maker marked "MONNAIE de PARIS" and "ARGENT" (silver) on the edge, measuring 40.7 mm (w) x 68 mm (h) inclusive of its crossed swords and Bravery clasp suspension. 

6. United Kingdom: 1939-1945 Star: in bronze gilt, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), original ribbon. 

7. United Kingdom: War Medal 1939-1945: in cupro-nickel, measuring 36 mm in diameter, original ribbon with safety pin attachment. 

8. Vietnam, Republic (South Vietnam): Armed Force Honor Medal II Class: in silvered bronze, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 53.5 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, original ribbon. 

9. Yugoslavia, Socialist Federal Republic: Commander-in-Chief Marshal Tito declared the New Commissioner for National Defense, May 13, 1944 Commemorative Table Medal: in silvered metal, measuring 64.2 mm (w) x 61.3 mm (h). 

10. Yugoslavia, Socialist Federal Republic: Order for Bravery: in bronze gilt, numbered "142812" on the reverse, measuring 39.5 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided metal suspension with pinback, exhibiting wear and oxidation. 

11. Yugoslavia, Socialist Federal Republic: three Medals for Merit to the Nation: in bronze gilt, measuring 37 mm in diameter each, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided metal suspension with pinback.
