What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A pair of service decorations, including a German Civil Service 25 Year Long Service Cross, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms and with its arms joined through the quadrants by an oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.88 mm (w) x 45.62 mm (h), weighing 21.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of two pieces of card stock with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a silver embossed number “25” within a cogwheel, with a slotted red felt medal bed, the lid bearing a maker’s label for the firm of Franz Reischauer, Oberstein, measuring 45 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 15 mm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a Romanian Manhood and Loyalty Medal, II Class, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with sword clasp, the obverse bearing a raised leftward-facing profile of King Carol I, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing an inscription of “BĂRBĂŢIE ŞI CREDINŢĂ” (“MANHOOD AND FAITH”), flanked by a laurel branch, unmarked, measuring 35.14 mm (w) x 47.37 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of two pieces of card stock, the exterior with a faux purple leather liner, the lid bearing a gilt monogram of King Michael I, the interior of the lid bearing a mark of “MONETĂRIA NAŢIONALA” indicating manufacture by the Romanian Mint, measuring 60 mm (w) x 120 mm (l) x 14 mm (h), the case demonstrating material fatigue, in overall near extremely fine condition.
