It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding and retains its original glossed paper stock dust jacket, with the cover bearing a black-and-white photograph of rifles circumscribed by author and title. The reverse features images of other reference volumes available from the Illustrated Monographs series. The interior content consists of 78 white paper pages featuring brief descriptions of military and sporting rifles, supplemented by black-and-white photographs and an index. It was published in 1972 by Arms and Armour Press of London, United Kingdom. The book measures 144 mm (w) x 222 mm (h) and is in an overall extremely fine condition.
