Iran, Pahlavi Empire. A Medal for Bravery (Military Valour), Type III, II Class, c. 1902
Instituted 1837. Type III. 1902 Issue. A silver medal portraying a rampant lion holding a sword with a sunburst in the background, surrounded by a laurel wreath, the reverse bears a Persian inscription, measures 37.71mm in diameter, weighs 31.8 grams (including ribbon), worn on original green ribbon with red backing, presents a horizontal pin and catch along the top of the ribbon, lovely patina, light wear, very fine condition.
