(Medaglia Commemorativa della Campagna di Spagna). Officially instituted in 1942. In bronze gilt, obverse presents Nike leading a man with a large sword on a horse, reverse features the inscription GUERRA POR LA LIBERACION Y UNIDAD DE ESPANA 17 JULIO 1936 (War for the Liberation and Unity of Spain 17 July 1936) on a map of Spain, measures 33.05mm (w) x 38.07mm (h- inclusive of integral suspension), weighs 19.8 grams (including ribbon), scattered gilt wear, dark patina, very fine condition.
