A diamond shaped pin constructed of silver and multi-coloured enamels, the centre bears the cut-out cipher “LU” (University of Latvia), bordered by a white enamel diamond with “SCIENTIAE ET PATREIAE” and a wreath at the top, below is the crest of Latvia in blue and red enamels, the reverse is plain and bears the number “120”, the maker mark “W. MÜLLER” and the mark “875”, with a vertical pinback and round wire catch,measuring 26.52 mm (w) x 42.80 mm (h), weighing 8.8 g, very fine.
