Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Crossed Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich Wilhelm, the six o’clock arm with a date of “1914”, the reverse with a central medallion bearing an inscription of “TAPFER UND TREU” (“BRAVE AND LOYAL”) inside of a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 41.86 mm (w) x 46.02 mm (h), weighing 21.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
