Medal for Manhood and Loyalty - 3rd Class - 1916-1947 Issue, Bronze, 28 mm x 55.8 mm inclusive of its wreath and swords suspension, original ribbon, light contact, near extremely fine.Footnote: The medal was instituted in 1903, for police officers and policemen, as well as civilians, for preserving or restoring public order. In 1916, the award became a war decoration, with crossed swords added to the suspension. It was awarded to lower ranks for bravery in the face of the enemy.
