Afghanistan, Kingdom. An Order of the Star, I Class Grand Officer’s Case
Instituted 1921. A presentation case for a I Class Grand Officer’s set of the Order of the Star, constructed of a wood frame with a red canvas exterior liner, the obverse lid with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Afghanistan, the interior with a padded salmon-pink satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted removable lemon-yellow doeskin medal bed, opening with a functional bronze snap button and dual functional magnetic metal hinges, unmarked, measuring 135 mm (h) x 304 mm (x) x 56 mm (h), one of the support beams for the medal bed is missing, otherwise in better than very fine condition.
