What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Tamgha-e-Khidmat Ammah Harbia. Instituted in 1924. Type II (1936-1947). Fullisze in cupro-nickel, measuring 36 mm in diameter, ornate swivel suspension, original ribbon suspended from an ornate hanger with pinback; and Miniature in cupro-nickel, measuring 17.8 mm in diameter, ornate suspension, original ribbon suspended from an ornate hanger with pinback. Extremely fine.
 

Footnote: The medal was instituted by Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan V Abbasi in 1924, to recognize general military service and good conduct. Awarded in a single class, in cupro-nickel, in two distinct types: Type I with the Amir bareheaded and wearing a military uniform, on a ribbon of orange bleeding into white bleeding into blue with deep blue edges separated by narrow red stripe; and Type II after 1936, with the Amir wearing a fez, on a green ribbon with edge stripes of red/black/red, as per this example.
