Instituted in 1937. In bronze with red and light blue enamels, likely of French manufacture, measuring 33 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h) inclusive of its ball suspension, crazing evident in the arm at 4 o'clock on the obverse, gilt palm on its original ribbon with dual prong pinback, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Military Order of Merit was one of the numerous orders of merit of the Persian Empire. It was instituted in 1937 and abolished due to the 1979 Islamic revolution.
