Iran, Qajar Dynasty. An Order of the Crown, Commander, by Arthus Bertrand
(Nishan-i-Taj). Instituted in 1913 (1332 AH) by Shah Ahmad Shah Qajar. Of French manufacture in silver gilt, multi piece construction with green, white, blue and red enamels, with laurel and oak leaf wreath suspension, hallmarked on ring with an A B & C .800 mark denoting Arthus Bertrand manufacture of 800 silver fineness, measuring at 45.5 mm (w) x 65.2mm (h- inclusive of wreath suspension) and weighing at 33.7 grams, with period ribbon bearing a rosette with two pin stays, small chips to arms, in very fine condition.
