Iran, Pahlavi Dynasty. A Military Service (Khedmat) Decoration, III Class
(دکور خدمت (سربازی).). Instituted in mid-1940s. In silver with red and green enamels, unmarked, obverse illustrating a five-armed Maltese cross, with leafing between each arm, the centrepiece bearing the Pahlavi crown, the arm at 12 o'clock surmounted by another Pahlavi crown, the decoration's suspension bearing a bow-like leafing design, the reverse of the decoration plain, measuring 45.5 mm (w) x 61.5 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon, accompanied by its plastic packet of issue, extremely fine. Footnote: The Military Service (Khedmat) Decoration was issued in three grades: I Class, II Class and III Class.
