Iran, Pahlavi Dynasty. A Token for the Occasion of the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) 1342 (1963)
(سکه یادبود به مناسبت سال نو ایرانیان). In .900 silver, reeded edge, obverse illustrating the left-facing conjoined busts of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (AKA Mohammad Reza Shah) and Queen Farah, dated in Persian "1342" (1963) below, reverse with an inscription in Persian framed within an open-ended wreath composed of branches of laurel leaves and oak leaves, surmounted by the Pahlavi crown, measuring 36.7 mm in diameter, contact mark evident on the Shah's face, light contact overall, in a clear plastic packet, very fine.
