Iran, Pahlavi Dynasty. A Token for the Occasion of the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) 1353 (1974) for the Polo Association
(سکه یادبود به مناسبت سال نو ایرانیان). In .900 silver, reeded edge, obverse illustrating the left-facing conjoined busts of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (AKA Mohammad Reza Shah) and Queen Farah, dated in Persian "1353" (1974) below, reverse with an inscription in Persian stating that it was ordered by the Pahlavi Foundation for the Iranian Polo Association, illustrating the emblem of the association consisting of a polo player on horseback within an open-ended wreath composed of branches of laurel leaves and oak leaves above, measuring 37 mm in diameter, light contact overall, in its official plastic packet of issue bearing the Iranian Polo Association emblem, better than very fine.
