Of high quality manufacture in 18kt White Gold (marked), an impressive and very scarce enameled white ball-tipped five-armed Arrow Star, with delicate protruded ball finials in each quadrant, surmounted by a cut leaf suspension also in White Gold, obverse centre presenting a nicely enameled white Quarter of Moon symbol on a red and green background, plain reverse, marked by typical British cycle hallmarks denoting made in London with .750 Gold fineness (or 18 kt), maker’s mark of Asprey & Co. Ltd., a firm known by the high quality of their products, measuring 28.30 mm (w) x 36.75 mm (h - inclusive of leave suspension), weighting 12.7 grams, light contact, accompanied by original civil ribbon with pinback, near mint condition.
Footnote: The Order of Oman (Wisam al-Oman) is the second highest order of Oman. It was instituted in 1970 by Sultan Qaboss in two divisions, civil and military. A Special Class, "The Most Honourable Order of Oman" was added in 1982. It is the second-highest award within the country.
