FENIAN RAID 1866 (Pte. J.H. Jobbitt, Uxbridge, I. Co.). Naming is officially impressed. Original ribbon, with a 22.3 mm white metal souvenir pin housing a black and white photo of Queen Victoria attached, semi-dark patina, very light contact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: Private James Henry Jobbett is shown on the roll of the 35 man Uxbridge Infantry Company and is listed on page 269 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented as having been posted to three locations (Whitby, Kingston and Toronto) from June to September 1866.
