(2356759 L. CPL. G. OXENHAM. W.O.R.). Naming is officially impressed. Dark patina, extremely fine. Footnote: George Oxenham was born on November 13, 1897 in Moore Township, Lambton, County, Ontario. He was a resident of Petrolia, Ontario when he signed his Attestation Paper as a Private (2356759) with the Western Ontario Regiment (1st Battalion) on May 27, 1918, in London, Ontario, at the age of 20, naming his next-of-kin as his father, William Oxenham of Petrolia, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Farmer. He was later promoted to Lance Corporal and survived the war.
