Footnote: Edmund Bradford Titus was born on April 2, 1898 in Oxford County, Ontario. He signed his Officers' Declaration Paper in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on December 21, 1915 and was medically cleared for service on May 17, 1916, naming his next-of-kin as his father, F.E. Titus of Gore Bay, Ontario, stating that he was with and Active Militia (97th Regiment of Rifles (Algonquin Rifles)),that he had two years' previous military service with the Cadets, one year with the C.S.C.I. and one and a half years with the 27th Regiment and that his profession was that of Student-at-Law.
