The Awards of Captain E.B. TITUS - British War Medal (CAPT. E.B. TITUS.); Victory Medal (CAPT. E.B. TITUS.); and Jubilee Medal 1935 (un-named). Naming is officially impressed. Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, original ribbons, very dark patinas on the silver medals, light contact, better than very fine. Accompanied by his CEF For Service at the Front Badge (bronze and enamels, numbered "219771", 23 mm, screwback), four Canadian Legion Medals (Merit Medal: sterling silver, hallmarked, marked "STERLING" and engraved "CAPTAIN E.B. TITUS. ONTARIO PROVINCIAL COMMAND" on the reverse, 28 mm x 29.5 mm, original ribbon with MERITORIOUS SERVICE Clasp, pinback hanger inscribed "FOR MERIT" with sub-hanger inscribed "PROVINCIAL"; Past President Medal (silver and enamels, maker marked "SCULLY LTD MONTREAL" and engraved "E.B. Titus ONTARIO COMMAND 1941" on the reverse, 27.3 mm x 30 mm, original ribbon with ornate pinback hanger inscribed "PAST PRESIDENT" with sub-hanger inscribed "T.V.S."; Past President Medal (silver and enamels, hallmarked, marked "STERLING", maker marked "SCULLY LTD" and engraved "E.B. Titus, Esq." on the reverse, 27.3 mm x 30 mm, original ribbon with ornate pinback hanger inscribed "PAST PRESIDENT" with two sub-hangers inscribed "T.V.S." and "COUNCILLOR"; and 50 Year Medal: two-piece construction, bronze gilt and enamels, engraved "E.B. Footnote: Edmund Bradford Titus was born on April 2, 1898 in Oxford County, Ontario. He signed his Officers' Declaration Paper in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on December 21, 1915 and was medically cleared for service on May 17, 1916, naming his next-of-kin as his father, F.E. Titus of Gore Bay, Ontario, stating that he was with and Active Militia (97th Regiment of Rifles (Algonquin Rifles)),that he had two years' previous military service with the Cadets, one year with the C.S.C.I. and one and a half years with the 27th Regiment and that his profession was that of Student-at-Law.
