Footnote: Flavien Edward Bouchard was born on May 23, 1893 in Petit Rocher, Gloucester County, New Brunswick. He signed his Attestation Paper on March 6, 1916 in Moncton, New Brunswick, at the age of 23, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Mrs. Edward Boudreau of Petit Rocher, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Labourer.
