Layaway Policy

eMedals INC. is pleased to offer flexible layaway services to all clients. Our layaway program offers the opportunity for clients to make payments on eligible items over a period of three (3) months.

A minimum deposit of 30% of the total price of your order including all applicable taxes and Buyer’s Premium, is due at the time of initial purchase. The total price of your order must be paid within three months from the date of original purchase.

You may make additional payments at any time by accessing the Layaway section in your account or by calling our office and submitting payment details.

Your contract will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise will be returned to inventory if full payment is not submitted by the three (3) month deadline.

What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Second War Medal Pair & Documents to the Royal Canadian Regiment - Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Original ribbon, light contact, extremely fine. Accompanied by two CVSM ribbon bars (one with a screwback, the other without attachment, 10 mm x 32 mm and 12 mm x 32.5 mm respectively), his original Discharge Certificate (water-repellent linen paper, 200 mm x 230 mm, repair evident along the seams), his Canadian Militia Soldier's Service and Pay Book (named on the cover to "A.3859 HICKS, S. R.C.R.", 98 mm x 129 mm), a Pair of Identification Tags (one round and one octagonal, each stamped "A3859 HICKS S CE CDN", 34.2 mm and 33.5 mm x 38.8 mm respectively), a Royal Canadian Regiment Cap Badge (bronze insignia overlaying a white metal star-shaped base, maker marked "TIPTAFT. B'HAM" on the reverse, 50 mm x 51 mm, intact lugs and pin), two Royal Canadian Regiment Shoulder Titles (brass, unmarked, 14.5 mm x 36.5 mm, intact lugs and pins, oxidation evident on one version), two Royal Canadian Regiment Shoulder Flashes (yellow embroidered lettering on blue wool, sewn upon a black wool base, 34 mm x 127 mm), a GRVI New Testament (named to "A3859 Sidney Hicks R.C.R. Camp Borden" on the inside cover, 78 mm x 119 mm) and a Bulova Watch (rectangular-shaped, glass face, numbered "5909324", marked BULOVA QUALITY" and engraved "Sid Hicks From Marjorie" on the reverse, without strap, 27 mm x 41.5 mm).   Footnote: Sidney Wilfred Hicks was born on December 29, 1906 in Essex, Ontario. He was employed as a Salesman when he enlisted as a Private (A-3859) with the Royal Canadian Regiment in London, Ontario, on March 25, 1940, at the age of 33. He was named Acting Lance Corporal on February 16, 1942 and reverted to the rank of Private on May 11, 1944. Hicks was discharged upon demobilization, "To return to Civil Life", on October 17, 1945, at No. 1 District Depot, Wolseley Barracks, in London, credited with having served in Canada and awarded the CVSM.
