A British War Medal to the Canadian Army Medical Corps CEF - (2005132 A.Q.M. SJT. W.T. JONES. C.A.M.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Original ribbon, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine. Accompanied by a copy of his Attestation Paper, along with his CEF Particulars of Service Record from the Public Archives of Canada (dated October 10, 1974).   Footnote: William Thomas Jones was born on February 17, 1876 in London, England. He signed his Attestation Paper as a Private with the Canadian Army Medical Corps Reinforcements on August 14, 1917, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 41, naming his next-of-kin as his wife, Mrs. Catherine Jones of Halifax, stating that he had twelve years' previous service with the Permanent Army Medical Corps, that he was married and that his trade was that of Soldier. He was promoted to Quartermaster Sergeant on March 1, 1918 and discharged on April 30, 1920 in Halifax, credited with having served in Canada and Great Britain. Jones died on March 26, 1938, at the age of 62.
