A British War Medal to the Military Merchant Marine - WALTER - L - AYLESWORTH -). Naming is privately engraved in large block capitals. Court-mounted, dark patina, light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by copies of five Ship Manifests, a Pursers' Instructions List and a Census of Canada for 1891. Footnote: Walter L. Aylesworth was with the Military Merchant Marine during the Great War. He is listed on Ship Manifests, stating that he was employed as a Barber between 1917 and 1924, aboard the Canadian Pacific Steamships owned Empress of Canada and the Empress of Asia. The Census of 1891 lists him as a resident of Selkirk, Manitoba.
