What's a max bid?

C.A.M.C.); and France: Medal of the Republican Society for the Encouragement of Devotion to Service (silver gilt, 30.5 mm). Naming is officially impressed on the trio, with an attempt made to scratch out the existing rank of Private on the Star, the French medal is un-named. Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, original ribbons, safety pin on the BWM ribbon, dark patina on the BWM, edge wear on the BWM and VM, residue in the recessed areas from cleaning, very fine.

Footnote: Henri Charbonneau was born on August 13, 1895 in Montreal, Quebec. He signed his Attestation Paper as a Private, on July 2, 1915 in Montreal, at the age of 19, six weeks shy of his twentieth birthday, naming his next-of-kin as his father, Bruno Charbonneau of Montreal, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Clerk. He served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps, was later promoted to Corporal and survived the war.
