Footnote: Clarence Avondale Colling was born in Guelph Ontario in 1891 and was working as a carpenter before enlisting in April 1915. As a member of the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles, he was killed in action on June 2nd 1916 and is rememebered on the Menin Gate, Ypres.
