Canada: 1914-15 Star (CAPT: R.H. SUTHERLAND. R.A.M.C.); and British War Medal (MAJOR R. H. SUTHERLAND.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, dark patina and an original ribbon on the BWM, replacement ribbon on the Star, edge nicks on the BWM, very light contact, near extremely fine.

Footnote: Robert Hiram Sutherland was born on September 26, 1882 in River John, Nova Scotia. He enlisted with the Canadian Army Medical Corps (the date and location unspecified), naming his next-of-kin as his wife, Mary Gladys Sutherland, stating that he was Married and that his trade was that of Physician. He survived the war and died on December 31, 1962 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 80.
