What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Hardshelled, black pebbled exterior, embossed with the Royal crown in gold-coloured ink, white satin lining on the inside lid, white felt medal bed, maker marked on the bottom, measuring 66 mm (w) x 87.5 mm (h) x 21 mm (h), small indentations on the exterior of the lid, light soiling on the medal bed, very fine. Accompanied by its Memorial Card bearing the Canadian coat-of-arms, inscribed "This cross is presented to you in memory of one who in the Great War died for King and Country", with the signature of the Minister of Militia and Defence Hugh Guthrie, printed in black ink on a card stock, exhibiting wear.
