What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A First War Canadian Medal Pair to the 2nd Infantry Battalion - British War Medal (454460 PTE. J.H. KEARNS. 2-CAN.INF.); Victory Medal (454460 PTE. J.H. KEARNS. 2-CAN.INF.); Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp (un-named); and War Medal 1939-1945 (un-named). Naming is officially named on the WWI pair. Un-mounted, light contact, surface wear on the BWM, green residue on the latter three medals from cleaning and storage, very fine. Accompanied by a copy of his Attestation Paper. Footnote: James H. Kearns was born on January 19, 1891 in Ottawa, Ontario. He signed his Attestation Paper with the 59th Infantry Battalion on June 17, 1916 in Ottawa, at the age of 25, naming his next-of-kin as his father, J.J. Kearns of Ottawa, stating that his previous military service consisted of two camps with the 56th Regiment, that he was Single and that his trade was that of Plasterer. The Battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec under the authority of G.O. 103A, August 15, 1915. The mobilization headquarters was near Kingston at Barriefield, Ontario. The Battalion left Canada April 5, 1916 with a strength of 36 officers and 1,073 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel H.J. Dawson. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 39th Infantry Battalion. Kearns was later transferred to the 2nd Infantry Battalion as a reinforcement. He also served during WWII.
