1914-1915 Star (33014 Pte E.W. LAIRD. CAN:A.M.C.); British War Medal (33104 PTE. E.W. LAIRD. C.A.M.C.); and Victory Medal (33104 PTE. E.W. LAIRD. C.A.M.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, near extremely fine. Accompanied by cardboard boxes for the three medals and a 66 mm x 109 mm sepia-toned photograph of his grave marker in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario. Footnote: Ernest Watt Laird was born on June 20, 1895 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, United States of America. He signed his Attestation Paper with No. 2 Field Ambulance on September 23, 1914 at Valcartier, Quebec, naming his next-of-kin as F.C. Laird, stating that he belonged to an Active Militia, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Machinist. He died at the age of 23 and his buried in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Ontario.
