First War Pair to Lieutenant W.H.Reid
British War Medal & Victory Medal (LIEUT. W.H. REID.) Officially impressed; Very Fine. Accompanied by copies of his Attestation Paper and Service Records. Footnote: Walter Henry Reid was born 27th of May 1888 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada and found work as a salesman in the Hardware trade prior to the war. Moreover, Walter spent two years as a member of the local Militia, the Queens Own Rifles, of Toronto. Enlisting on October 4th 1915, Walter headed overseas arriving in England 14th February 1916 as a member of the Canadian Field Artillery. It wasnt until April 1917 that Reid was first reported wounded, having sustained a wound to the right shoulder, however was able to carry on afterwards. Three months later, Reid was reported wounded for a second time, and subsequent medical reports outline that he had sustained a G.S.W. to the left thigh on July 1st 1917.
