WWI Canadian Pair to the Army Service Corps - British War Medal (515082 PTE. H.P. PREECE. C.A.S.C.); and Victory Medal (515082 PTE. H.P. PREECE. C.A.S.C.). Naming is officially impressed. Un-mounted, very dark patina on the BWM, edge nicks, better than very fine.Footnote: Henry Percival Preece was born on July 18, 1876 in Hereford, England. He was a resident of Marysville, New Brunswick, when he signed his Attestation Paper at Headquarters Company, Fourth Divisional Train (CEF) on April 19, 1916 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at the age of 40, naming his next-of-kin as his wife, Edith May Preece of Marysville, stating that he had four years' previous Naval Training, that he was married and that his trade was that of Teamster. The Canadian Army Service Corps was charged with supplying the forces with transportation, food and workshops.
