Canada; Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Military Division, Member's Badge (MBE); 1939-1945 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp; War Medal 1939-1945 with MID Oak Leaf; Korea Medal (ZC 705 G.S. BLAKE); Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea; United Nations Korea Medal (ZC 705 G.S. BLAKE); and Canadian Forces' Decoration, George VI (CAPT. G.S. BLAKE). Naming is officially impressed on the KM and UNKM, the CFD is officially engraved on the reverse of the suspension bar. Court-mounted with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, replacement ribbons, the first eight awards plated, gilt wear evident on the CFD, near extremely fine. Accompanied by his Name Plate (brass, engraved "CAPT. G.S. BLAKE", 23.8 mm x 50 mm, die-holes in all four corners); his Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps Bracelet (two-piece construction, bronze with blue and white enamelled insignia, mounted to a Gold Filled plate, engraved "G.S. BLAKE." on the obverse, marked "GOLD FILLED", maker marked and engraved "C-64042 love Dor." on the reverse, 16 mm x 35.5 mm, slotted at either end, one end with a clip); his Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps Cuff Links Pair (two-piece construction, bronze gilt, maker marked "GAUNT LONDON" on the reverse, 19 mm each, screw adjustment); a Korea 25th Brigade Patch (silvered and gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, on a red wool base, black moisture-resistant backer, 62 mm x 78 mm); a Commonwealth Division Patch (silvered and gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, with gold-coloured sequins, on a light blue wool base, black moisture-resistant backer, 65 mm x 84 mm); a Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps Shoulder Flash (red embroidered lettering, on a navy blue wool base, black cotton mesh backer, 25 mm x 85 mm); a Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps Jacket Patch (silvered and gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, red and blue embroidered text fields, maroon felt in the void of the crown, touches of black, red and green embroidery in the crown, on a black felt base, black moisture-resistant backer, 80 mm x 91 mm); a Department of National Defence Statement of War Gratuity (dated September 19, 1946, named to "Louise Anne ENRIGHT, 59 Coumbe St., Renfrew, Ont.", Register Number "642064", in the amount of "$262.50", printed in red and black inks, on a white paper stock, 78 mm x 215 mm); an Ottawa Citizen Newspaper Article (documenting the awarding of various awards to members of the Canadian Forces, with Blake in the feature photograph, 150 mm x 215 mm); along with assorted research papers.
 
Footnote: George Stewart Blake served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Burma and Italy during the Second World War and was Mentioned in Despatches on March 9, 1946 for actions taken during the war. He received his Canadian Forces' Decoration on December 15, 1952. In the rank of Captain, Blake served with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps during the Korean War. Captain George Stewart Blake, C.D. (ZC 705) was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Military Division, Member's Badge (MBE), the announcement appearing in the Fifth Supplement to the London Gazette 39980 of Friday, October 2, 1953, on Tuesday, October 6, 1953, page 5309. He received his MBE from Governor-General Vincent Massey in a ceremony at Government House in Ottawa. Blake died on October 16, 2006.
