Canada; George VI. (SGT. AIR GUNNER. G.R RODMAN R254482) naming is engraved, sterling silver, marked “R” “STERLING” on reverse, along with original neck ribbon, overall very fine condition.

Footnote: Glen Russell Rodman was born on June 17, 1925 to Charlie Edgar and Vera Gertrude Rodman of Timberton, Manitoba. He enlisted shortly after graduating grade 12, and received training from Brandon, Macdonald, Man., Regina, Boundary Bay, B.C., Abotsford, B.C and Three Rivers, Que. He served with the RACF in India and died at the age of 19 on December 16, 1944 of malaria and typhoid fever. He left his parents and two half-brothers, FO H.C Brisco and Cpl M.G Brisco, who both served in the RCAF at Sea Island, B.C. Rodman is buried in the Madras War Cemetery, India, grave reference: I.E.3. and is commemorated on page 431 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance.
