1939-1945 Star; Italy Star; Defence Medal; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp; War Medal 1939-1945 with MID Oak Leaf; and Canadian Forces' Decoration with Ten Years' Additional Service Clasp, George VI (F/L D.C. MAHONEY). Naming is engraved on the reverse of the suspension on the CFD, the five Second War medals are un-named as issued. Court-mounted to a cardboard backer, with glue residue on the reverse from previous board mounting, contact marks, lightly soiled original ribbons, very fine. Accompanied by a Royal Canadian Air Force Pilot Badge (in red, white and brown embroidery, on a black wool base, white cotton mesh backer, measuring 120 mm (w) x 46 mm (h)); and a 18 Squadron, Royal Air Force Blazer Patch (in silvered and gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, maroon embroidery in the void of the Queen's crown, touches of red, green and blue embroidery in the base of the crown, the Pegasus in red embroidery, the centrepiece ring in light blue embroidery, the ribbon banner in yellow embroidery, black threading giving definition to the outline of the Pegasus and the text in the ribbon banner, on a black wool base, padded, hessian backer, measuring 95 mm (w) x 105 mm (h)); both of the badges with glue and paper residue evident on their reverses from previous board mounting.
