Footnote: C/12557 Private Fred Cecil Mervin Dennis, 4 General Transport Company, Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, died on July 5, 1944 and is buried in Cassino War Cemetery, Cassino, Italy, Grave Reference: IV. H. 19. He is commemorated on page 289 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance.
