What's a max bid?

Footnote: Corporal Robert Elliott is shown on the roll of the 20 man York Troop Cavalry (Oakridge Cavalry) and is listed on page 278 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented on the roll as having been posted to Richmond Hill, Ontario, in June 1866.
