(QR. Mr. W.E. IMLAH ARTY.). Naming is engraved in large capitals. Large mark on Queen Victoria's face, edge nicks, contact marks, replacement ribbon, near very fine.

Footnote: Lieutenant (Quartermaster) William Edward Imlah is shown on the roll as being attached to 'B' Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, entitled to the North West Canada Medal. He is also acknowledged on the North West Active Service List of Members of the Militia Force 1885 (with claims to "Grants of Land" under the provisions of the Act of 1848-49 Victoria, Chapter 73). Imlah was previously a recipient of the Canadian General Service Medal with Fenian Raid 1866 clasp, while serving as a Gunner with the 1st Company, Halifax Field Battery (Halifax Royal Artillery), shown on the roll of the 41 man unit and is listed on page 189 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented on the roll as having been posted to Halifax, Nova Scotia, from June 6 to July 31, 1866, with an "Attack Expected", the harbour patrolled nightly by steamer.
