Footnote: Private Hugh Williams is shown on the roll of the 65 man 1st Chatham Infantry Company and is listed on page 162 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented on the roll of the 24th Kent Battalion as having been posted to Windsor, Chatham and Thorold from March to October 1966, with an "attack expected".
