Canada, Great Britain; FENIAN RAID 1866 (Ens. M. Benson. 15th. Bn.). Naming is officially impressed, collector instituted blackened lettering. Original ribbon, contact marks and surface wear, very fine.

Footnote: Ensign Martin Benson Private Peter Arnott is shown on the roll of the 185 man 15th Battalion of Infantry (Belleville) and is listed on page 89 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented on the roll as having been posted to Prescott, Ontario from June 3 to 23, 1866, with an "Attack Expected".
