Footnote: Sergeant Major Robert Walter MacPherson is shown on the roll of the 25 man Toronto Field Battery and is listed on page 268 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp, his surname with a capital "P". He is documented on the roll of the Toronto Garrison and Field Battery, St. Catharines Garrison Battery as having been posted to Toronto, Ontario, guarding stores and guns, from March 8 to May 3, 1866, with an "Attack Expected", his surname recorded with a lower case "p".
