Footnote: Private George Nunn, York & Simcoe Provisional Battalion is confirmed on the Medal Roll for the North West Canada Medal 1885. He is listed as having been at the Barrie Garrison after the conflict, at the age of 22, and confirmed as being entitled to a Land Grant under the provisions of 48-49 Victoria, Chapter 73.
