Footnote: Private Barnabas Wortman is shown on the roll of the 44 man 2nd Storrington Rifle Company, 47th Frontenac Battalion of Infantry, and is listed on page 263 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. His surname is officially recorded in the rolls as "Wortman" and not "Wartman", as indicated on the medal. He is documented on the roll as having been posted to Cornwall, Ontario from June 3 to 22, 1866, with an "Attack Expected".
